This is the officially licensed reproduction of the swords used by King Leonidas and his Spartans in Frank Miller's "300." The movie, which is based on Frank Miller's graphic novel by the same name, portrays the battle of Thermopylae in which 300 Spartans stood against the innumerable horde that King Xerxes of Persia had brought to conquer Greece. The blade is made of carbon steel and features the same styling and detail that you can see in the movie itself. This sword features a leather grip and a spiky guard that complements the blade very well. The guards are weathered and antiqued to give it a raw iron look. The blade does not come by itself though. You get a leather belt and sheath for your sword, to help complete the costume or for the perfect display. This piece will be a sure favorite of any collector as it is a movie accurate piece.
