Designed by Ken Onion, the Blur is a mid-range tactical/utility offering that redefines value.

With a 13C26 stainless-steel blade measuring 3 3/8", the Blur is perfect for daily carry. The Rescue Blur features a rounded-tip blade for safer cutting in close or dangerous situations, and partial serration to help with cutting. The double thumbstudes are serrated and angled for easy use - just start the process and the Speed-Safe assisted opening system takes over.

The handle is made of 6061-T6 anodized aluminum and features milled grooves and "Trac-Tec" inserts. The Trac-Tec inserts insure a non-slip grip regardless of the condintions you are using the knife in. The blade, handle hardware and even the stainless steel pocket clip are blackened. The clip itself is reversible for tip up or down carry. Rescue Blurs also feature a carbide glass-breaker tip for emergency use.

The Speed-Safe system employs a torsion bar. When closed, the torsion bar helps keep the knife closed, preventing it from being opened by "gravity." In order to open the knife, just apply manual pressure to the thumb stud to overcome the resistance of the torsion bar. After the blade is out of the handle, the torsion bar moves along its half-moon track and takes over quickly opening the blade and locking it into position.
